The African Democratic Institute (ADI) is pleased to announce the 2016 Pan African Leader’s call for nominations. The Pan African Leaders Award recognises the work African stalwarts have done in the areas of institutional development, education and peace and security.

A statement was made on 27 September 2015 by Former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo, (also nominated this year) during the Clinton Global Initiative Forum (CGI) in New York to announce Fred Swaniker as the recipient of the Pan African Leaders Award 2015.
